When questioned regarding the performance Mr DeFilippi advised the gelding had raced keenly from the mobile with the effort taking its toll over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Connections advised they will have blood tests taken from the gelding in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
